[TDM 90AR - TDM Production Studio: Black Girl Nerd Learning Course] TDM 90AR - TDM Production Studio: Black Girl Nerd is a creative studio course that explores the intersection of identity, media, and performance through the lens of Black girlhood and nerd culture. This course provides a collaborative space for students to develop and produce original work that reflects and critiques the experiences and perspectives of Black girls in contemporary media. Students will engage in various aspects of production, including writing, directing, and performance, with a focus on creating projects that highlight underrepresented voices and narratives. The curriculum includes workshops on storytelling techniques, media representation, and the cultural impact of geek culture. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers, present their work to an audience, and engage in critical discussions about representation and identity. By the end of the course, students will have produced a significant creative project and gained insights into the role of media and performance in shaping cultural narratives.
