Participants will engage in scholarly research and pedagogical practices that center on African diasporic receptions of classical art, literature, and philosophy. The curriculum covers topics such as Afro-Greek mythologies, Black classicist scholars, and the impact of race and identity on interpretations of classical texts. Through collaborative research projects and teaching strategies, participants will develop innovative approaches to integrating Black classicisms into educational contexts.
