Students will examine the historical and cultural contexts that shape Black women's experiences of sexual violence, resistance, and solidarity. The curriculum highlights the contributions of Black feminists, activists, and artists in challenging patriarchal structures and advocating for social change. Through readings, films, and guest lectures, participants will analyze strategies of empowerment, community building, and cultural transformation. The course aims to amplify Black women's narratives, inspire critical dialogue, and mobilize collective action against gender-based violence and inequality.
